Type A Christian Autumn Hoover

I live in Tennessee with my husband, Rob, and our daughter, Reese. My husband is a former high school teacher and baseball coach and completed his graduate degree in order to transition into his role as senior pastor, which also makes me a preacher's wife!

I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior at the age of 10 years old and have mastered my Type A Christian personality for decades! 

I have been a nurse since 2001. I previously worked as a Certified Emergency Nurse at the 3rd busiest Level-I ER and Trauma Center in the state of Tennessee, and later as a pre-operative and circulating nurse at a local eye surgery center. 

Upon receiving my master’s degree as a nurse practitioner, I began my profession as a women’s health care provider and continue to specialize in high risk obstetrics as well as gynecology. 

After years of struggling with infertility and later coping with our daughter’s hearing loss, I have learned to utilize my personal experiences to serve my patients who suffer with similar issues as well as new moms whose children are born with unexpected findings. Since 2010, I have turned my thoughts into writing and compiled everything into my trusty excel spreadsheet which eventually turned into two books!

While enjoying a blessed career serving women in my community, I also enjoy teaching children in our church's Sunday school class, singing on the church praise team, and assisting with online church presentations.

I love to cook and relax by the ocean...but you won't find me swimming with the sharks! Budget-friendly retail therapy is also key to improving my stress, so I am always looking for the best deal at TJ Maxx. Stress reduction also includes eating anything chocolate, but thankfully, God gives me reflux when I eat too much! My husband and I also enjoy watching our daughter sing and act...except we tend to stress out more than she does!
